I haven’t visited Caffè Nero in…
I haven’t visited Caffè Nero in Stafford town centre for a long time, it certainly has gone down hill. The tuna panini was just about acceptable & the millionaires shortbread was very good but the ice coffee was tasteless, too much water in a much too tall glass & not enough coffee & the spoon it was served with looked as though it hadn’t been washed in months. Caffè Nero use to be our favourite coffee chain to visit but not any more. Costa Coffee here we come.

Poor, disrespectful customer service
Customer services don't appear to care to much about disability, ethics & unacceptable treatment of customers. There's little point in contacting customer service as they simply do not care, will not treat concerns seriously & will simply attempt to placate complainants as cheaply as possible.
Whilst Caffe Nero have clear guidelines upon treatment of disabled & other customers, not all their staff appear to be informed regarding said policies. Having contacted customer services I have no faith that feedback will lead to meaningful change. A few vouchers may be issued, template apologies will be offered as the matter will be treated as an inconvenience.
Certainly there a good staff at work in caffe Nero coffee shops, however this is more by luck than design. Employment procedures must depend on the manager of an individual outlet, I get the impression that caffe Nero is a very poorly run operation focusing on one thing and one thing alone, money. I imagine they have a formula when it comes to dealing with customers complaints rather than a sincere and heartfelt desire to address any issues.
Certainly that's the impression I have developed having spoken with their customer staff.
Never got my drink
Ordered a drink today in Watford and waited and waited, ordering after me got their drinks, but nothing for me. No explanation or anything. After around 10 mins I left without a drink. I suppose taking money and then not providing a drink is a way to boost profit, but you managed to loose a client in the process. Worst experience I've had in a coffeehouse

I asked for a large oat milk latte and got a small, the windows are filthy
Awful lazy staff
Awful lazy staff. I ordered a coffee and a bap to eat in. The cafe was completely empty. I asked the guy ( one of 2 serving) whether he would bring the bap over to me. He exclaimed it would only take a few minutes implying it would only take a few minutes. So I stood at the counter sipping my coffee.... whilst the member of staff went out for a cigerette break whilst I was still standing there.... bearing in mind that there was NO ONE ELSE in the whole cafe. What awful service is this. I have written a letter to Nero head office and had no response to my pretty dismal experience. Having been a Nero customer of Nero for Years
... No Longer.

I ordered my drink, paid, and informed it's seated not to go.
in 3 minutes I found out that I had no place to sit, upstairs area closed because they are cleaning. I politely asked where should I drink & have my drink & they said "any where?"
I left them the drink - never again Nero!

Tastecard offer refused
I have a current Tastecard which I presented at the Worthing branch of Cafe Nero on 20th June 2022 to obtain the 25% discount offer valid until 25th July 2022. The baritsa scanned the card QR code but could not get it to respond. She tried twice more without success. Both bar staff present refused to read the current date on the card and were quite rude. They refused the 25% discount and told me to refer back to Tastecard. Later I scanned my card with my own QR reader and it worked perfectly. I am disgusted with the staff attitude and I will not be returning.

Great coffee….
Latte too strong and expensive
Latte too strong and expensive. This place is looking tired and down-market. Barrista dumped 5 bags of rubbish at side of where we sat sipping our coffee. Stick to spoons in future (£2.40 coffee refil)

BAD review of Nero Sutton
BAD review of Nero Sutton, Carshalton Rd!
My previous review of a visit to Nero Cheam village was good.
However all my recently visits to Nero Sutton Carshslton Rd have been so bad I’ll start going to the Costa in Sutton after today.
The floor, the tables and the chairs are filthy. Right now the restaurant is empty - why aren’t they using the time to clean??
The attitude of new staff is good, the attitude of longer serving staff is poor, uncaring and uninterested to say the least!
So as somebody that has previously written good reviews of some Nero’s it sad to have to write such a bad one on Sutton.
But, it’s better to spell out the truth rather than just go to Costa without saying why.
Goodbye Nero

Another excellent service from Maggie at Newbury, Bartholomew Street Newbury. She even had a trainee with her.
My only recommendation is to make it more clearly in which way we queue.
Clean tables, clean toilets, excellent customer service. So much so I have had to write a second review

Visited the meadowhall branch to start they didn’t have any teacakes so decided to have a scone there was no cream just jam, the scone was really dry. Went to use the toilet before we left it was so dirrty in the cubicle there was urine all over the toilet seat and no toilet roll. Will not be going back.

The staff at the Formby branch are lovely but the place itself is starting to look shabby and dirty. What really gets to me about a big organisation of yours is letting dogs in which I think is awful when there's food being served. On my visit one woman had two greyhounds with her and then took them into the ladies with her it's disgusting. You'll only refrain from this when a dog attacks a child or someone on your premises and sues you, which happened in my line of work. There needs to be boundaries it's not the staff on the shop floors fault but those at the top.
